Projects annd Programs

The Lower Murray Darling Catchment Management Authority (LMD CMA) has a number of projects and programs in place to enhance the natural resources of the catchment.

Activities are targeted to ensure that the greatest natural resource benefit is achieved. The end result being improved soil health, water quality and vegetation condition leading to increased productivity and profitability of our catchment, while improving the environment.

The greatest portion of funding for Projects and Programs in the Lower Murray Darling comes from the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality (NAP) with lesser amounts from Natural Heritage Trust and State Sustainability funds. Incentive schemes require matching contributions from landholders.
